Topical Studies

A broad spectrum of subjects will be posted with Biblical discussion. They will be my opinions and can be ignored or embraced.

I Resent

 I Resent

The word “resent” means to feel bitter or indignant at a person, circumstance, or something that has happened.

We all have things that we resent!

This article is a result of my resenting the divisiveness that fills America right now. Instead of loving each other in disagreement; or rather learning to disagree graciously, we hate and divide. I have experienced it in my family, community, and church.

Two people can be standing on the same road, watching the same event take place at the same location on that road. The one may see things from the Right side and the other may see things from the Left side.  It all depends upon which side of the road you are standing.

"A New Identity" 2 Corinthians 5:17

A New Identity

2 Corinthians 5:17

We live in a day when people identify who they are by the label of their brokenness. Thus, to speak of their brokenness and the need for Christ is seen as an attack on the person rather than as an act of love. I praise God that I am not identified by my brokenness. I am identified by Christ' perfect righteousness. I am justified, sanctified, in my Savior's life. He is my identity. To attack my identity, you have to attack him....
