Living your Faith.
Living your faith in front of your children is something I see many serious Christians try to adhere to. The problem is that they don’t even know what that means. It is not being moral, religious, passionate for holiness, passionate to be separate from the world (the one that is outside the home, forgetting that the world is in our hearts), or even passionate to be theologically and Biblically correct.
Our faith is very simple. It is this. “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” 1st Timothy 1:15
This means that living your faith in front of your children is not hiding your weak and sinful humanity from your children. Nor is it flaunting it in front of them.
It is letting them see you take your weak, flawed, sin prone humanity repeatedly to God.
It is also not letting your weak, flawed, and sin prone humanity keep you from serving God by loving your neighbor now.
It is an error to think that our sins destroy our testimony. They do not destroy our testimony. They illustrate it. That is “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.”
